Most Important Health and Beauty Inventions

Health and Beauty inventions have become widely used in nearly everyone’s home across the world.

Of one of the most important beauty inventions is the hair dryer. How could we have ever lived without one of these? The genius man, Alexander F. Godefoy created this amazing model in France in 1890. Since 1890, we have obviously improved the way the hair dryer works as well as the way it looks and feels.

Another great invention to world of health and beauty has been the weight scale. Everyone wants to look and feel his or her best.  In order to know whether you are hitting your goal weight, one most likely will use a scale to measure his or her weight. The scale dates way back to the Egyptian times in which they used a very basic type scale to measure gold. Since that time, we now have the digital era of scales. It really is an amazing invention, even though some days we don’t’ care to see what the number reads back to us.

Do the above inventions spark any additional thoughts to what might be your next adventurous creation? Write a few of your ideas down. While you are still imagining your next big design, let’s have a look at a few more important health and beauty discoveries that have changed the way we live.

A huge breakthrough in the health and beauty world has been the discovery of lotions and moisturizers. As we continue to find new and exciting ways to incorporate different plant bases, the lotion and moisturizer companies will continue to satisfy their customers’ needs to fight age lines, cellulite, and dry skin. Lotion and Moisturizers have been around for centuries. They were first made from animal fats and oils and plant oils such as aloe vera and olive oil. In the last 150 years we have been able to open a jar and slather it on our bodies.

In addition to the invention of lotion and moisturizers, a life-saving and definite life changing invention has been the invention of sunscreen. There is a little controversy as to who actually invented sunscreen and when. However, as indicated by http://www.sun-protection-and-products-guide.com, sunscreen was created by an Australian scientist Franz Greiter. Greiter was the first to introduce his viable sun protection cream. Greiter was also responsible for coming up with the Sun Protection Rating Factor or SPF rating that has become the worldwide standard for measuring the effectiveness of sunscreen.

Most people do not give their toothbrush a second look after using it morning and evening. The toothbrush is a life changing health and beauty invention that not only makes us look and feel better about ourselves, but is a way to maintain our health as well. According to the Library of Congress, loc.gov, the toothbrush as we know it today was invented in 1938 Dupont de Nemours.

An additional brilliant creation is the invention of hair dye. This is obviously not for one’s health, but the invention of hair dye has played a massive role in the world of beauty products. The Hair Book Online, www.thehairbookonline.com discusses that we actually started using hair dye from plant sources dated back to the Egyptian times. The French Chemist, Eugene Schueller first invented synthetic hair dye in 1907. It has since been modified and used widely by both men and women throughout the world.

When you think of all the amazing inventions in the health and beauty world, it is hard not to think of what we would do without those items. I have listed only very small, yet important inventions that have changed the way people live and yet, how could we ever live without the hair dryer, the weight scale, lotions and moisturizers, sunscreen, the toothbrush, and of course hair dye. The inventors of each of the products may have stumbled upon them by accident or may have sought out to make the item in which you may use every day.

Inventions that Teach Kids How to Play Football

If you are an aspiring inventor who enjoys coming up with new and educational ways to help young children succeed then this may be a challenge that you may want to take on. Physical activity is highly encouraged these days for our youth, even those at a very young age need to learn to be more physically active. One of the best ways to ensure that our children get the daily exercise that they need is to enroll them in some sort of sports program. Football is an exciting sport that people of all ages enjoy watching and playing. And while there are many opportunities for younger kids to get involved with sports such as little league baseball and softball, there aren’t as many choices out there for young kids who want learn more about playing football. This is where the creative minds of today’s inventors come into play.

While tee balls and plastic bats have been used for many years now to help young children get used to playing baseball and the miniature sized basketball hoops by popular children’s toy manufacturers will always be a great seller to parents of toddlers, there aren’t many sport-related toys out there that are geared toward those who would like to get their children interested in playing football at an early age. In order to come up with some great ideas on inventions that teach kids how to play football, you will need to do a little research and find out ways that you can get pre-school aged children focused on the active sport of football. You will need to have a good idea of how a two to five year old child’s mind works and how little of an attention span they can have. So your ideas will need to be fun and exciting to this age group so that the instructor would be able to hold their attention long enough to explain the details of the game.

Smaller children always want to be like their older siblings or other older kids that they know. Coming up with an invention that will allow older kids to take part in the training process would be a great way to get older children in the area or in the family involved in helping out the preschoolers with their team. You may come up with an outdoor game that is similar to the concepts of real football, but with softer equipment such as sponge balls, or using the concept of flag football so that there isn’t any tackling involved which would mean fewer injuries to worry about. Keep in mind that your main focus is to come up with an invention that will help keep kids physically active and help them to understand more about playing a game with a team.

Inventions That Teach Kids How to Play Baseball

There are various inventions that teach kids how to play baseball. However, the most notable invention at hand is the tee ball set. The tee ball set is a stand designed to hold the ball in place to allow the user to hit the ball. Tee ball sets are commonly seen at many children's baseball games since they are not old enough to hit the ball from a pitch. The tee ball stand is also relatively cheap and it allows for children to improve upon their aim and their swings. By keeping the ball in place, it allows for children to make more consistent and accurate swings. Tee ball sets also allow children to improve upon their form when batting.

One of the most common inventions that teach kids how to play baseball is the automatic pitcher. An automatic pitching device will propel balls in the direction of the player at a controlled rate. This rate can be adjusted by the various settings and controls on the machine itself. An automatic pitching device allows children who want to learn baseball to learn how to hit the ball properly. One of the reasons why this device is used so much is that its pitches are not always consistent, making it seem as if a real player was pitching a ball. This teaches children to expect the unexpected, and to learn how to adjust during the pitching process.

An invention which helps children learn how to play baseball properly is the catching glove. The glove is originally designed to help grant the player protection from the ball itself, as it is falling at almost terminal velocity towards the player. When this device was invented, the inventor considered surface area of the glove in order to reduce the shock that the player would receive when the ball landed in their catching gloves. Gloves are always required at children's baseball games, as they provide important safety features and can help them catch the ball. A catching glove is usually made out of bound leather, and fashioned in an intricate manner. However, they are relatively cheap for the amount of work put into them.

Although it may not be conventional, another invention that teaches kids how to play baseball properly is leather gloves. Leather gloves are mostly used by players who are in the batting cage, and they are designed to give you a better grip on the bat. Leather gloves are also a safety feature, as any accidents involving a bat may occur and a leather glove can prevent you from losing your grip. Leather gloves are also relatively cheap for the protection they provide, usually only costing around ten to twenty dollars.
