Most Important Health and Beauty Inventions

Health and Beauty inventions have become widely used in nearly everyone’s home across the world.

Of one of the most important beauty inventions is the hair dryer. How could we have ever lived without one of these? The genius man, Alexander F. Godefoy created this amazing model in France in 1890. Since 1890, we have obviously improved the way the hair dryer works as well as the way it looks and feels.

Another great invention to world of health and beauty has been the weight scale. Everyone wants to look and feel his or her best.  In order to know whether you are hitting your goal weight, one most likely will use a scale to measure his or her weight. The scale dates way back to the Egyptian times in which they used a very basic type scale to measure gold. Since that time, we now have the digital era of scales. It really is an amazing invention, even though some days we don’t’ care to see what the number reads back to us.

Do the above inventions spark any additional thoughts to what might be your next adventurous creation? Write a few of your ideas down. While you are still imagining your next big design, let’s have a look at a few more important health and beauty discoveries that have changed the way we live.

A huge breakthrough in the health and beauty world has been the discovery of lotions and moisturizers. As we continue to find new and exciting ways to incorporate different plant bases, the lotion and moisturizer companies will continue to satisfy their customers’ needs to fight age lines, cellulite, and dry skin. Lotion and Moisturizers have been around for centuries. They were first made from animal fats and oils and plant oils such as aloe vera and olive oil. In the last 150 years we have been able to open a jar and slather it on our bodies.

In addition to the invention of lotion and moisturizers, a life-saving and definite life changing invention has been the invention of sunscreen. There is a little controversy as to who actually invented sunscreen and when. However, as indicated by http://www.sun-protection-and-products-guide.com, sunscreen was created by an Australian scientist Franz Greiter. Greiter was the first to introduce his viable sun protection cream. Greiter was also responsible for coming up with the Sun Protection Rating Factor or SPF rating that has become the worldwide standard for measuring the effectiveness of sunscreen.

Most people do not give their toothbrush a second look after using it morning and evening. The toothbrush is a life changing health and beauty invention that not only makes us look and feel better about ourselves, but is a way to maintain our health as well. According to the Library of Congress, loc.gov, the toothbrush as we know it today was invented in 1938 Dupont de Nemours.

An additional brilliant creation is the invention of hair dye. This is obviously not for one’s health, but the invention of hair dye has played a massive role in the world of beauty products. The Hair Book Online, www.thehairbookonline.com discusses that we actually started using hair dye from plant sources dated back to the Egyptian times. The French Chemist, Eugene Schueller first invented synthetic hair dye in 1907. It has since been modified and used widely by both men and women throughout the world.

When you think of all the amazing inventions in the health and beauty world, it is hard not to think of what we would do without those items. I have listed only very small, yet important inventions that have changed the way people live and yet, how could we ever live without the hair dryer, the weight scale, lotions and moisturizers, sunscreen, the toothbrush, and of course hair dye. The inventors of each of the products may have stumbled upon them by accident or may have sought out to make the item in which you may use every day.
